More from Andy’s house

I thought I’d share more projects/history from our old house. This would be filed under history. It’s is always exciting to find lost writing under old wallpaper. Sometimes it’s just layout lines and calculations relating to wallpaper. Sometimes it is a small glimpse into the past.

Old wall graffiti

We have the later. Some really cool signitures from the 30’s through the 60’s and a bit of current events from the 30’s. I could not see painting over this so I just picture framed around it. Anyone have anything similar? If so sign up and post your stories in the comments. You can check out the full story here. Andy’s Wall Graffiti

    Very cool Andy!
I used to work as a volunteer at a mansions restoration in Crystal Lake Illinois. There you could find where the plumbers would sign their work. Evidently back in the 1860’s this was highly advanced technology with a relatively elite trade group. I understand it was not uncommon for them to sign their work. They too protected the wall writing.
